Join Rotary Club of Murphy for the 3rd Annual Franklin Barnett Poker Run and support our local scholarship iniative. You can participate by completing the registration below or Sponsor this event and promote your business!
Come register the day of the event it is $25 per card CASH OR CHECK between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Julie's Place on the morning of the event. Last possible departure starts at noon. You can play UP TO 5 hands. The cost is $25 per hand or 5 hands for $100 for pre-registered participants.
MAKE SURE TO ARRIVE AT THE CHECKPOINTS DURING THE
HOURS VOLUNTEERS ARE STATIONED THERE OR YOUR HAND
BECOMES INVALID. SEE SCORECARD FOR TIMES.
A total of 5 “Free Draw” chips per scorecard may be purchased the morning of for $5 each. The ride is not a race and will take approximately 3-4 hours at a nice leisurely pace. We want you to stop and look around and enjoy the beauty of western North Carolina and North Georgia.
Participants will draw a card from each stop and present the card and your scorecard to the Rotary Club of Murphy volunteer where yourscorecard will be marked by the volunteer and logged on their masterlist. If you don’t like the card you have drawn, here is where you can cash in your “Free Draw” chip. It’s a risk, you might get a better card or a worse card. That’s the excitement of risk! If playing 5 hands, present only one card at a time to the volunteer to play. You can use only 1 “Free Draw” chip per hand per checkpoint EXCEPT on the final checkpoint. On the final checkpoint, you can cash in remaining chips, but again, present only one card at a time to the volunteer. There will be NO REFUNDS on any unused “Free Draw” chips.
No duplicate cards can be used. Participants must draw an additional card if an identical card is drawn. Cash prizes will be awarded to Best Hand, Runner Up and Worst Hand. In the case of a tie, there will be a draw for High Card to determine the winner. The decision of the judge is final.
Poker Hand Rankings with Royal Flush being the best hand.
