Back to Basics with Micah Goguen

Description

In this workshop, we will review the basics of how to draw any object using 4 basic shapes while also learning about light and shadow.  Students will learn techniques such as color mixing, gesture drawing, highlighting, and color theory. You will utilize class information into practical application with several exercises that teach us to see and use those shapes in their drawings.
   Students will spend the second half of the workshop creating a color wheel and exploring different terms and color theory. Students will leave with a completed color wheel, several drawings, and a booklet with fundamental notes. This workshop is a great starting place for beginners as well as refresh for more advanced students.  Students are welcomed to bring their own lunch, as it will not be provided during this workshop.
