I love photography, and I absolutely love being a photographer. I bought my first camera when I was 16 years old, and started selling my work when I was 17. I am self taught. The only “rule” I try to follow is to seek the essence in every shot. Whether I’m photographing an individual, a wedding, or a remote mountain scene I’m always watching for a variation on the moment- an emotional connection. When I feel it, I know beyond doubt that I’ve got my shot. It is a harmony- a resonance within that hundredth of a second and, ultimately, a truth.
I’ve been photographing weddings for the past 5 years; in that time I’ve come to absolutely fall in love with the breadth of experience in every wedding (big or small). Each moment has an apex of energy associated with it, and my goal is to capture and creatively represent each of those moments through my own artistic aesthetic.
I’m a member in good standing with the Professional Photographers of America, and have had my work appear in several magazines and blogs. If having your images showcase the emotions and connections of your day is important to you, drop me a line and let’s talk!
I believe that my creative vision and emotional empathy help me make beautiful, genuine images with which to tell your story. I look forward to working with you!
