END OF SUMMER PLEIN AIR EVENT
Description
Valley River Arts Guild will be hosting the 1st Painting Plein Air Art event and auction on Saturday, Sept 28th rain or shine.
Artists will be painting and drawing at the Murphy River Walk and in historic downtown Murphy from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The public is invited to stroll around town and observe artists creating their work from start to finish as well as learn what motivates them to capture that particular scene. It will also give the public an opportunity to ask other questions about the creative process and that particular medium.
The finished art work will be brought to the Murphy Senior Center on Alpine Street where a wine and hors d' veours preview will be held at 5:00 pm. This is free to the public and will be followed promptly by an auction of the finished pieces at 6:00 pm.
