Personal Care Assistant
Prerequisites:
Employee must meet the requirements for employment with Murphy Rehabilitation. Murphy Rehabilitation will require applicants of good character with positive references, passing Pre-Employment Drug test and an acceptable Criminal Background check.
Employees may enter the Career Ladder in various stages of their career development. Acceptance into the Murphy Rehabilitation Career Ladder Program will vary based on the needs of the facility, and our ability to offer continuing employment to the employee.
Employee's are hired as Personal Care Assistants (PCA's). PCA's do not provide direct patient care, but support direct are staff by making beds, passing out ice, and cleaning equipment. PCA's can also be trained at the facility to be Certified Feeders so that they can assist high level resident's with eating.
PCA's starting rate of pay is $10.00/hour. Full time workers can earn over $20,800.00 per year in this role, (not counting 90-day incentive) and be qualified for Group Major Medical Coverage (Company pays approximately 80 %).
