Description
Hiwassee River Watershed Coalition will host free canoe/kayak trips at Konehete Park in Murphy as part of an afternoon of "Fun on the Valley River." Some guided trips will be offered, but canoes and kayaks will also be available for people to take out for 20-minute periods on a free, first come, first serve basis. There will be a sign-up sheet to schedule boats; children under 18 must have a parent or guardian to co-sign a liability waiver. Other activities will also be offered and the day will concluded with a nature walk at 5:30 pm hosted by Tony Ward.
