Description
Yard Sale at the Andrews Community Center to benefit Appalachian Angels.
What is Appalachian Angels of the 30th Judicial District, Inc?
When the Cherokee County Department of Social Services must remove children from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or dependency, they often arrive at the foster home placement with only the clothing they are wearing. The mission of Appalachian Angels is to assist the foster home or kinship placement in providing the necessary resources to meet the needs of the children that are beyond the scope of services provided by the Department of Social Services. This can be as simple as clothing and other daily necessities, or as wide ranging as school pictures, field trips, and other routine life events. Appalachian Angels is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff.
